Efficient and sustainable management of a borehole requires regular monitoring of water levels. This assists a farmer to establish if his or her water resources are reducing or not due to borehole pumping over time or other natural factors. Failure to do so can lead to drying out of the borehole due to over-pumping. Not monitoring water levels in a borehole is comparable to a person who drives a car for several kilometers over a period of time without checking engine oil level or someone who drives a car without a speedometer. This can result into depletion of oil and engine knock!
Water level monitoring can be done on a monthly basis or at least twice a year depending on the client’s needs.
Leskacon accurately measures water levels for clients using modern electric water level meters.
